Announcing the Winner of the Phoenix District Art Project!

The Phoenix Development Council's Art Committee and community have selected a winner for our new public art installation. Congratulations to Trueson Daugherty for his incredible piece, "Blazing Wings of Dreams"!

About the Project:

"Blazing Wings of Dreams" is an interactive, free-standing metal sculpture featuring wings rising from flames, symbolizing rebirth and strength. This 9-foot tall sculpture will stand proudly on a concrete pedestal etched with the hand impressions of our community members.

Project Description:

The sculpture, inspired by community feedback, incorporates themes of beauty, excitement, and interactivity with motifs of the phoenix and wings. It embodies the neighborhood's pride in its past economic strength and optimism for the future. The radiant wings, forged from layers of steel and aluminum, ascend from a base of deep crimson flames, representing resilience and unity.
